Product Attribute Pictures v3.0 PLUS allows users to upload and manage images that appear on their product information pages. Its core functionality is the ability to display thumbnails which when clicked are shown in full size next to the thumbnails without using a pop-up or reloading the page. This provides a seamless transition between image selections and a more comfortable user experience.
Uploaded images can be displayed without reference to existing product attributes to create a gallery effect, or linked to product attributes so that individual attribute prices can be displayed beneath the image and users can click to select the product in order to add it to their cart, supressing the standard drop-down menus for that particular attribute.
Add to this the ability to toggle the display of attribute names (e.g. Size, Color etc) and values (e.g. Large, Red etc) next to the thumbnail, control the size of thumbnails and selected image, customize the accompanying display text, select the number of pictures per row AND have all these settings act on a per-attribute basis where image sets for multiple attributes can be assigned to a single product and you have an invaluable tool at your disposal.
Features also include bulk copying functionality which allows users to copy entire image sets - together with their display settings - to other products at the click of a button without having to upload the images again. A context-sensitive online user guide is accessible from several points in the control panel, and several channels of support include a troubleshooting guide, a high-priority online support forum (responses within 6 hours) and support email.
Adding images to products is as easy as:

 | | Uploading the required images... |  | Product Attribute Pictures 3.0 PLUS allows you to upload attribute pictures regardless of whether or not you have set up the product attribute in the osCommerce 'Product Attributes' section. You can either select an existing osCommerce attribute from the dropdown and add pictures to it, or simply name a new attribute and upload your images for it. The difference between these two ways of setting up attribute pictures is that you can only display price differentials and allow the user to select attributes for inclusion in the shopping cart via the PAPs radio buttons if the attribute has been set up in the 'Product Attributes' section of the osCommerce admin component.
When you upload attribute images for existing product attributes, the attribute value fields are automatically populated with the attribute option values you entered in the 'Product Attributes' section. |

Multiple attributes can be assigned to any single product. Each attribute has its own individual settings so that different attributes can have differently sized thumbnails or one can have attribute values, prices or selectable radio buttons displayed and another can have them hidden. The settings on the left will produce a set of clickable thumbnails in the product info page. Images are clicked to get a larger image and the radio buttons beneath them can be clicked to attach the attribute to the product when adding it to the shopping cart. If you choose to enable tooltips for your product attribute pictures, you can add extra information about each individual attribute option which will appear when a customer hovers over the attribute option thumbnail. The tooltips are highly configurable to let you blend them in perfectly with the ambiance of your store (above left). Once you have set the appropriate display settings in the form on the left, you will be able to add attribute option-specific information in the PAPs product overview page (above right). As you can see, it is also possible to add HTML tags inside the tooltip content to add even more flexibility to your tooltip presentation. The edit/update tooltip mechanism is entirely Javascipt driven, so no page reloading is necessary each time you make an edit. |
Installation is as simple as it can be for this framework. Edit only 3 files, copy our files onto your server, run the SQL script on your database and you're ready. Total time: 15 minutes max. French language is also fully supported.
