Proforma v1.0 PLUS for CRELoaded

Proforma is a powerful content management system and form creator for CRELoaded developers and website owners. It extends and improves upon the existing content management functionality of CRELoaded shopping carts.

Proforma provides unprecedented flexibility in the creation, positioning and display of your content units and forms, as well as allowing one-click access to your existing product descriptions, newsletters and product notifications. Proforma's key features include:

• Flexible Content Listing - List your custom content, product descriptions, newsletters and product notifications in several different ways for simple one-click access to editing. This saves time spent navigating around the default CRELoaded catalog to find your products.
  
• Custom Content Creation - Create your own content and link it to a custom position anywhere in your store. Unlimited content units can be applied to any position, and unlimited positions can be applied to any web page.
• Position Management - Create custom positions to be placed in any of your web pages. Once deployed, any content unit can appear in that position.
• Group Management - Create groups for your content units, making them easier to find and manage.
• Form Management - A feedback form which can be assigned to any custom position is included in the package as a useable example of form-building. Users with programming  skills can add processing code to automatically generated PHP header templates which can then be pasted into the form's target page.
• State-of-the-Art Editing - Edit your content unit using the world's most popular and feature-rich internet text editor.

 Flexible Content Listing

You can choose to list any or all of your existing custom content units, product descriptions, newsletters and product notifications, ordered by name, group, position, URL substring, placement, type or active status in ascending or descending order. Click the edit icon for any content unit for instant editing which will immediately show up in your CRELoaded webpage. Click the thumbnail to the right to view a typical content unit list:

 Custom Content Creation

Set up your new content unit by assigning it values which will govern how it is listed in Proforma and displayed in your CRELoaded store. You will then be able to add new content using the full featured text editor (see thumbnails on the right) which allows text styling, form creation and image insertion.

 Position Management

Create a new position by naming it, then pasting a line of automatically generated code into your webpage where you want the content to appear. Once deployed, any combination of content units can be assigned to appear in that position at any time. Below we can see a number of positions which have been set up. Two of them have content units associated with them, although one still has to be deployed in the desired web page.

Group Management

You can classify your content units into groups which will help you to organize and retrieve them for quick editing later. 

Form Management

Forms can also be created and assigned to positions like normal content units. Once you have created a form using the text editor, the Form Manager will automatically generate a PHP code  template into which you can add and save your own processing code. The code can then be pasted directly into the form's target page to provide the desired functionality. Below we can see part of the automatically generated code for the feedback form.

Proforma Output

In the example below (click the thumbnail), the 'latest news' content unit has been assigned to a position at the top of the store's home page. Any time the content is edited with Proforma, the changes will show up immediately in the store. Any content unit can now use this position either exclusively or in combination with other units. In this example, the feedback form has been assigned to a position beneath the product description. If the URL substring of this form unit is set for example to 'product_info', it will appear in the same position on every product information page. (screenshot is from osCommerce version)

Installation of Proforma requires only 4 simple steps including the editing of only two files (only one edit in each) and the creation of 4 database tables using the sql file included in the distribution.

High priority support is also included in the package via email and a dedicated support forum. Online documentation is also available via the help buttons found throughout the Proforma application.
