Update button in admin.... 3 Years, 2 Months ago
We bought and installed EZC v1.0 plus today and installed it. It seems to be working okay except for the an issue on the admin side.

In "edit settings" easyCommentz System Settings the default width is 500%. When trying to set to 75 and clicking update I get and "error on page" and no update occurs. I had to use phpMySQL to edit the database to correct the width 500% is a bit of overkill.

The error on page is

Line: 253
Char: 2
Error: Object required
Code: 0
URL: www.njsekela.com//OSCommerce/catalog/adm...dac83cfbfd19ccf6f4e7

Also when comments have been made on the product info page and you try to delete with the admin tool it deletes it from the admin side but the comment remains on the public side until you delete the comment from the database.

Hi Bob

Thanks for your enquiry.

Could you please clear down your database of all comments, then add a comment which doesn't contain any single or double quotes. Then try to delete it. If you can, then configuration is fine. Proceed to add a comment with one or more single quotes, then try to delete it. Then try with double quotes and try to delete again. Let me know what happens.

It is possible that either single or double quotes are disrupting the Javascript routines. I can fix this - or any other easyCommentz issue - for you if you send me your website's admin component login details, FTP account details and database access details. You can send the info via the support email address in the user guide or using the contact form on this website.

Regards

Nick
